Our Yorkshire Terrier Room
This our special room just for our Yorkshire Terriers and their needs... Last year my husband offered to build a special room for our Yorkies so he had me choose everything to go into it and he built it and brought it to life for us, to him we (Me and our Yorkies) are forever grateful for making this room come to life for us.
It is located right next to our Bedroom to where we leave the door open day and night with a gate in it, so our Yorkies never have to sleep alone so to speak, they know we are right there with them and should they need us, let me tell you they let us know.
We also let our Yorkies run in the rest of our house and can shut their door when need be. We never leave our Yorkies alone to breed, either me or my husband is always there with them, we just shut our Yorkie Room door so they will not be under any stress from the rest of our household activities. Then when helping assist in whelping a litter of new puppies, we never leave our whelping mommy alone to whelp by herself, either me or my husband is with her at all times, we can also close our Yorkie Room door so that our upcoming mommy isn't under any stress from our household activities while trying to whelp her litter. We also can prevent any unwanted pregnancies by closing our Yorkie Room Door and also putting a gate up at our bedroom door as an extra precaution to keep those little men from getting to our little ladies.
We have designed our Yorkie Room with them in mind, there is nothing at all they can get hurt on. We have tiled the floor and 1/2 way up the wall, we put a new furnace and central air conditioning in so they would be at a comfortable tempeture all year round. There is cabinets, drawers, grooming tables, a sink for baths, breeding area for our studs and bitches, whelping area for our expectant bitches, nursery monitors, a potty area, beds for all of our Yorkies and even computers for Mom and Dad so they can keep all our records updated. Everything we need to properly and easily care for our Yorkshire Terriers is in our Yorkie Room.
